The Twin Peaks Mall Area Urban Renewal planning process began in 2008 with series of public meetings. 都市再生計画の原案は、2009年7月にロングモント市都市再生局／市議会によって承認され、採択されました。 2012年、再開発の機会を受け、ロングモント都市再生局は都市再生計画の更新を提案し、主に税増分融資（TIF）規定の採用やコロラド州都市再生法で認められた土地取得手段の強化を通じて、荒廃した状態の根絶とその拡大の防止を規定、促進しています。
